AEP Texas opens new Alice Service Center

April 18, 2019

AEP Texas officially opened its new, state-of-the-art Service Center facility in Alice, Texas, on Wednesday, April 17. The new 40,377 square-foot facility is located on a 13.6-acre site at 411 S. Duval in Alice.

A crowd of more than 70 elected officials, dignitaries, law enforcement officials, employees and guests attended a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new facility Wednesday.

Tom Coad, vice president of Distribution Region Operations, said that the opening of the new service center begins a new era for AEP Texas and its operations in the Alice area.

“Through this investment, we want to show our commitment to Alice and the surrounding communities,” said Coad. “This new facility provides the sufficient space and resources we need to succeed and address current and future economic growth.”

The building incorporates energy efficient and environmentally responsible design principles. It will house approximately 25 employees.

The facility is one of several new AEP Texas service centers in the AEP Texas Service Territory.
