AEP Texas recently donated eight utility poles to the Southwest Texas College (SWTX) Powerline Technology Program.

AEP Texas External Affairs Manager Jimmy Earnest collaborated with SWTX Director of Workforce Training and Development Kristel Sanchez to facilitate the donation.

In a story published on the SWTX website, Sanchez expressed her gratitude for AEP Texas's donation.

"This donation is a valuable investment in our students' education and future careers," she said. "Hands-on training is essential in this field, and these poles will provide an opportunity for students to develop their climbing and linework skills in a safe, controlled environment."

Earnest says the donation shows AEP Texas's commitment to workforce development and industry partnerships. 

"This support directly impacts the next generation of powerline professionals, strengthening the region's skilled workforce," he said.
