The Hispanic Origin Latin American (HOLA) Employee Resource Group (ERG) gathered on Wednesday, October 30, to celebrate Día de los Muertos at each AEP Texas district.

 AEP Texas and the AEP Foundation recently sponsored the Run The Runway 5K at the Corpus Christi International Airport, raising $62,000 for Wings of Texas. 

AEP Texas employees participated in the October 5 Corpus Christi Heart Walk, raising over $400,000 for heart disease awareness. Participants walked or ran to support survivors, while the event promoted health and a sense of community.

AEP Texas participated in Kenedy ISD's "Career with Trucks" event, where over 300 students explored utility careers and learned how AEP Texas powers their community.

AEP Texas Communications Director joined the Robstown Women's Chapter of the American G.I. Forum at a Corpus Christi elementary school to read winning essays that answered the question, "Why is Education Important?"

La tormenta tropical Alberto continúa avanzando por el Golfo de México y se pronostica que traerá lluvias significativas al sur de Texas. Una advertencia de tormenta tropical está vigente para la costa del Golfo de Texas hasta el jueves 20 de junio. Laredo Distribution employees participated in a career day at Sanchez Ochoa Elementary School. Students were especially intrigued by the safety gloves used by service mechanics.

Some AEP Texas employees recently spent a Sunday afternoon in the kitchen cooking to feed the families of patients at Driscoll Children’s Hospital and other area hospitals.

AEP Texas Service Mechanic Roman Tambunga was maneuvering the bucket truck out of the Ozona neighborhood when he saw smoke coming out of a home.  His response helped ensure that the resident and his pets safely exited the home before it was engulfed in flames.  He also helped the volunteer fire department fight the blaze.
