In a heartwarming collaboration, the AEP Black Employee Resource Group (BERG) and the Hispanic Origin Latin American (HOLA) Texas chapters joined forces for their annual Back-to-School Drive, to donate supplies to students in need. Employees from McCamey and Pharr rallied together, collecting donations to support teachers and students in their local areas.

In McCamey, two dedicated employees, Administrative Associate Veronica Martinez and Distribution System Supervisor Noel J. Parada, participated in the Teacher's Tea event hosted by the McCamey Chamber of Commerce. They donated supplies to approximately 120 McCamey ISD staff members, including educators and support personnel. Martinez reflected on the experience, saying, "Teachers and staff enjoy this event; they say it always feels like Christmas receiving all these goodies."

In the Rio Grande Valley, Pharr employees engaged with the United Way of South Texas to organize a back-to-school shopping spree for 150 middle school students. Administrative Assistant Natalie N. Perales expressed the profound impact of the event: "It was a blessing to see their faces light up as they picked out brand new clothes, school supplies, and essentials for the new year. We're proud to give back to our community alongside amazing organizations throughout the RGV."
