AEP Texas Business Human Resources Manager Trey Mendez brought a second group of 11 high school teachers to the Corpus Christi Service Center and the Main Office as part of the 2025 Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend Summer Teacher Externship on Tuesday, July 15.

The tour began at the Corpus Christi Service Center, where lineworkers talked about career opportunities in the field and gave a pole installation demonstration. Two teachers had the opportunity to try on gear and experience what it's like to work 55 feet in the air on the bucket truck.

To wrap up the second part of the tour, educators enjoyed lunch and conversations with representatives from Billing & Accounting Operations, Comp Retail Relations, Security, Customer Accounting, Energy Efficiency, Regulatory and Finance, Communications, Human Resources, and the leadership team at the Main Office.
