In Bronte, AEP Texas lineman Alex "Birdman" Vargas demonstrated the spirit of service that defines our workforce. While on the job, Vargas was approached by a game and fish officer looking to safely relocate a young Mississippi kite that had fallen from its nest. He assisted immediately ensuring the bird's safety.

From restoring power after storms to lending a hand in unexpected situations, our AEP Texas linemen face challenges that go far beyond the lines they work on. Whether it's helping someone on the side of the road, rescuing an animal in need, or supporting their communities during emergencies, they always lend a hand.
