AEP Texas was recognized with a special award for its community involvement at the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce’s 110th Annual Banquet in February 26. Fred Guerrero, External Affairs manager for San Angelo, accepted the award on the company’s behalf.
Throughout 2025, AEP Texas contributed to multiple community organizations including the Boys and Girls Club, Angelo State University (ASU), Meals for the Elderly, and the San Angelo Cancer Association. The company also stayed active in the community by participating in career fairs, mentoring engineering students at ASU, and helping connect local talent with real-world opportunities in the energy industry.
Guerrero said he is thankful for the award but acknowledged it was a team effort.
The company continues investing in San Angelo by improving local lines and equipment which strengthens reliability and helps ensure that homes, schools, hospitals, and businesses can depend on safe and consistent electric service.
