Several AEP Texas employees with the Rio Grande City Service Center joined other local businesses and community partners in the 2026 RGC Pit Boss Showdown. Employees cooked several items for the event including pan de campo, beans, mollejas, fajitas, pork ribs, and brisket. 

The event was an opportunity for employees and their families to come together outside of work to bring the community together. 

"Events like these reinforce why we value working safely and delivering excellent customer service every day so we can all return home safely to our families," Administrative Assistant Natalie Perales said. "The Rio Grande City team truly enjoyed this experience and looks forward to participating in similar family-oriented community events in the future."
