AEP Texas and the AEP Foundation recently served as title sponsors for Run The Runway, a unique 5k charity race on the Corpus Christi International Airport runway. Benefiting Wings of Texas, a local nonprofit, this event raised approximately $62,000 to support individuals with disabilities by allowing them to participate in community athletic events, social activities, and advocacy training. 

AEP Texas has helped Wings of Texas expand its programs through sponsorships and employee participation. This support benefits individuals known as "Captains," who participate in events with the aid of "Angels," volunteers who push specially adapted chairs. With AEP Texas's contribution, Wings of Texas can continue its mission to empower community members of all abilities.
