AEP Texas made an appearance at the San Angelo Rodeo Parade over the weekend. Local employees David McMinn and Shane Hill rode a bucket truck through downtown San Angelo with Louie the Lightning Bug proudly waving to the community. The company has been supporting the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Association (SASSRA) for over a decade.
"Supporting the SASSRA allows us to be a part of a tradition that celebrates the agricultural roots here in San Angelo," said Fred Guerrero, San Angelo External Affairs manager. "As one of the largest and most meaningful events in San Angelo, the rodeo reflects the spirit of the community we're proud to serve, and we're honored to play a role in its continued success."
Families gathered around the parade route, giving Louie a big wave as the truck drove by with other parade participants. Children smiled and laughed when McMinn and Hill drove by, occasionally honking the truck's horn.
