High school students from across the Coastal Bend met with Corpus Christi employees at a career event in Kingsville to discover career paths, learn about AEP Texas, and ask utility industry professionals questions. At the Ready for College & Career Conference, students explored opportunities in STEM, public service, business, and other fields while meeting local educators and professionals. 

Employees visited with students to discuss the career options AEP Texas offers, including engineering, line work, and administrative roles. They also explained that fieldwork positions like theirs do not require a college degree.

Line Mechanic John Cantu said "it feels amazing to be able to spark some interest, whether it's small or big, whenever we can! It's a good feeling to be representatives of AEP Texas and to help educate young minds about what the company has to offer for their future."
