AEP Texas employees participated in a Region 3-hosted Career Day on May 7 in Victoria, helping introduce students to careers in the electric utility industry. Nearly 900 fifth- through seventh-grade students from across the Crossroads area attended the event, where AEP Texas crews provided hands-on demonstrations and shared insights into daily operations across the company. 

"The students were intrigued and engaged with our AEP Texas crew," said Vee Strauss, AEP Texas Regional External Affairs manager. "Learning about the tools, materials and vehicles used in our industry sparked young minds to consider careers in the electrical field."

Employees participating in the event included representatives from line, service and technical teams who helped showcase the wide range of opportunities available within the company.
