The AEP Texas Laredo District celebrated National Apprenticeship Career Day by hosting students from J.W. Nixon High School. This marks the second year in a row the company hosted the school to give students a better understanding of the career paths available within AEP Texas.
Students heard from employees in various departments who spoke about their daily responsibilities as well as the types of education and training students may need for their role. They also observed a lineworker safely climbing a pole, a transformer installation, and some of the ways crews work to restore power in the field.
