AEP Texas crews expect to restore electric service to customers affected by the Mill Fire, who can take power, by noon Thursday. At 9:30 a.m. Thursday, 40 customers remain without power.
On Wednesday, AEP Texas temporarily de-energized select power lines in Gregory at the request of local authorities to prevent a potential threat to public safety. By de-energizing select power lines, crews were able to prevent additional outages in the area.
AEP Texas urges all residents in the area to follow instructions from local emergency management officials and to stay safe.
