AEP Texas has issued an updated estimated time of restoration (ETR) for customers affected by the Mill Fire in Gregory. Because of the time of access to the affected area this morning, crews now expect to restore electric service to customers who can take power by 3 p.m. Thursday. At 11:30 a.m. Thursday, 40 customers remain without power.
On Wednesday, AEP Texas temporarily de-energized select power lines in Gregory at the request of local authorities to prevent a potential threat to public safety. Crews were able to prevent additional outages in the area.
AEP Texas urges all residents in the area to follow instructions from local emergency management officials and to stay safe.
