AEP Texas has launched its 2025 United Way campaign today and will run through September 19. Each year, AEP Texas and all operating companies support United Way through employee donations and matching funds from the AEP Foundation. In 2024, AEP and its employees contributed a total of 1,138,303. Of that amount, $758,869 came directly from employees and was matched 50 percent by the AEP Foundation. The goal of 2025 is to meet or surpass last year's total. 

Employees can donate as a one-time contribution or through ongoing payroll deductions. Donations can be designated to the employee's local United Way.  AEP Texas is a United Way Champion. In recent years, United Way of South Texas recognized AEP Texas as a Top 10 Company for donations. Employees have also donated their time, including a back-to-school shopping spree that gave 150 students new cltohes, shoes, and haircuts.

United Way leaders say community support from companies like AEP Texas makes a direct impact on the quality of life in the communities they serve. AEP is committed to supporting the United Way in communities where we live and work.
