AEP's Women @ Work (W@W) Employee Resource Group (ERG) served over 300 people at a Thanksgiving meal and holiday distribution event in Corpus Christi. 

“We decided to go the extra step and help pass out the items we collected and serve our community,” Women at Work member Kimberly Perez said. 

W@W members and their families helped serve hot meals and distribute the items their group collected from their W@W Summer Care Challenge donation drive. Employees donated hygiene products, baby wipes, diapers, and more, benefitting Esperanza de Tejas. 

"We helped families of nine where both parents work hard but still struggle between paychecks," Esperanza de Tejas posted on their Facebook page. "We stood with a retired peace officer, who is currently unhoused, and connected him to services, food, and hygiene items."
