Community members and local leaders gathered at the 2026 Aransas Pass Emergency Management Preparedness Breakfast to talk about hurricane readiness and emergency response efforts ahead of the hurricane season.

External Affairs Manager Patrick King served as the main speaker during the event and provided attendees with an overview of the company's hurricane preparedness planning and response strategies. King shared information on how AEP Texas stays prepared for severe weather year-round and the steps crews take to respond quickly and safely during emergencies. 

Customer Service Account Representative Hilda Bernal provided materials on outage notifications and helped attendees register for mobile alerts to stay informed during critical weather events.
