On July 24, AEP Texas donated surplus food from its Tropical Storm Bertha response to the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent in Victoria to help feed local families. AEP Texas External Affairs Manager Vee Strauss said the donation reflects AEP Texas's commitment to serving communities beyond restoring power during emergencies.

“Your generosity will help us provide nutritious food to families and individuals in our community, and we truly appreciate your willingness to ensure these resources are put to good use rather than go to waste,” said Robin Cadle, president and CEO of the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent.

The donated items will also supply partner kitchens that provide hot meals to the community and support distribution centers across the Food Bank's 11-county service area. AEP Texas employees recently volunteered at the food bank to help sort and organize the donated food.
