AEP Texas Service Mechanic Christopher Sankovet recently led a team of fourth and fifth-grade basketball players to an undefeated season in the Boys & Girls Club of San Benito Youth League. AEP Texas sponsored the championship-winning team.

Sankovet, whose son is on the team, said the age of the team and the skill level of the players made the journey pure fun to watch.

"These kids had a great time," Sankovet said. "It was great to see them celebrate and get excited each time they scored or won a game."

Sankovet said he is grateful for the AEP Texas partnership. He said the company's support of the Boys & Girls Club helps the community one athlete at a time.

"It's really great that AEP Texas can invest in the Boys & Girls Club, he said. "It means something to these kids to have the support. It lasts well beyond the season," Sankovet said.  

 “These kids will remember this experience.”
