AEP Texas team members recently visited an elementary school in McAllen to give students a close-up look at the people, equipment and safety practices involved in delivering electric service.
Staff from customer service and field crews explained crew responsibilities, showed common tools and displayed a bucket truck to illustrate how line work is performed safely. Presenters led age-appropriate discussions about electrical hazards, answered student questions, and rewarded correct answers with small goody bags.
These events foster hands-on learning, build local connections and underscore AEP Texas’s employee commitment to customers and the communities we serve by promoting safety, education and awareness.
