AEP Texas donated $5,000 to Texas Court Appointed Special Advocates to support training, community outreach and resources for children and youth in foster care.
AEP Texas provided the funds to Texas Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) to help local programs recruit and train court-appointed volunteers who advocate for children and youth in the foster-care system. The contribution will support initiatives such as anti-child trafficking efforts, collaborative family engagement and trauma-informed care.
“This funding will help advance CASA’s mission to advocate for and support the well-being of vulnerable youth in our community,” said AEP Texas External Affairs Manager Gricelda Calzada.
