AEP Texas employees joined Texas State Technical College’s Electrical Lineworker and Management program in Harlingen on Aug. 14 for Family Day, where future lineworkers showed their pole climbing skills to family members and industry representatives.

Customer Service Account Representative Senior Yvonnilda Rodriguez, External Affairs Manager Hill Cocke, Distribution System Supervisor Javier Garcia and his team attended the event. Garcia's distribution staff supported students with bucket trucks, tools, PPE and field advice.

TSTC Instructor Juan Savala said the AEP Texas team made a positive and lasting impact on students and their families. Several AEP Texas lineworkers are TSTC graduates and helped encourage the next generation of lineworkers.
