Texas Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) received a $5,000 donation from AEP Texas to support foster care programs.

For employees who attended a career day in La Feria, the day was filled with personal pride. 

"I feel proud of the work I do, so it gives me great pride to guide anyone into line work,” Line Crew Leader Armando Armas said.

In honor of International Women's Month in March, AEP Texas featured three outstanding employees who have transformed their careers and lives during their time with the company. 

Quick action by a line mechanic stopped a mismatched transformer from being energized, avoiding equipment damage and a possible service delay.

Quick action by Billy Becker and nearby motorists helped a shaken driver and her dog after their vehicle rolled on icy roads; they stayed with her until emergency crews arrived.

Quick action by Michael Cornell and coordination with local fire officials helped protect residents and AEP Texas equipment when a roadside blaze threatened an RV park.

AEP Texas Foundation continues to support education with its $50,000 two-year sponsorship of Laredo College’s Family Fun Fest and Musicale.

AEP Eagle Pass employees spoke to around 100 fifth grade students about electricity, expanding on their curriculum on insulators, conductors, and circuits in class.
